Frequently asked questions

What should we bring?

Please bring sunscreen that is NON-SPRAY, as spray sunscreen can harm the exterior of the boat. You may bring whatever food and drinks you would like, but I will have bottled water provided for you on the boat. Consider bringing a rain jacket/windbreaker just in case along with a hat and sunglasses.

Do we need to bring a cooler?

Not necessarily, we will have coolers on the boat with ice and water provided. You may bring a small cooler on the boat if you would like to but please remember space is limited.

Can we keep the fish we catch?

In an effort to preserve our local fishery we have started to practice catch and release. Most often you are better off going to the grocery store or sea food market if you want food for the freezer. Typically when we keep fish you will not catch enough to satisfy your party as rules and regulations restrict what we can and can’t keep in South Carolina. Our fishery is doing well and trending in the right direction and that is how we want to keep it! So come on out and catch some nice fish with us and get some good pictures and we can release and catch those fish again next time!

Do we need a fishing license?

No, the boat is licensed and has everyone on board covered.

Is this fishing charter kid friendly?

Yes of course! We offer a variety of lengths of trips to try and meet the needs of families.

Is fishing gear provided on the boat?

Yes, all of the fishing rods and reels will be provided on the boat. Bait will either be on the boat or we will catch it quickly on our way to our first spot. The fishing vessel is equipped with life jackets and all other required safety gear.

What will we catch/target?

Please refer to the What's In Season page or our social media to see what we have been catching.

How far do we go?

We stay either in-shore or near shore depending on the time, weather, and needs of our clients. We try to tailor our trips to you and your family the best we can.

How early should we arrive for our trip?

Make sure you get to Harbour Town at least 20-30 minutes before your trip to find parking and have your directions squared away the night before to avoid any hiccups the day of.

Is tipping customary?
